accidents happen

Like accidentally mentioning that you used to play the spoons. Suddenly, I might become the coach to one of our actors who has to learn how to play the spoons. So Brent and I are going to freshen up on some musical spoon abilities we might both have.

I said it half jokingly to my boss - not really knowing that they needed a 'coach'.

Fun times on Manning Avenue.

Our apartment went through final inspections today. I have no idea what that means - especially considering it's pretty messy with half packed boxes and half empty rooms everywhere. I guess I'll find out when I get home tonight.

Friday nights at Downsview Park - they have free movie nights. (that's right - no more high park nights - le sigh). BUT - they also have FREE FOOD. So Brent and I thought - 'yay, popcorn'. We patiently waited through a very enormous line up (a few hundred people easy) and when we step up to get our free snack - a surprise. An individual pita break (apple & cinnamon), a mini bag of mini carrots, a small dip for the carrots and a bottle of water. So cool. I thought it was a really great thing for families to come out to and also encourages healthier snack choices. Much props to 97.3 EZ rock who are sponsoring this summer's under the stars series.

I smashed my arm against a steel plate last friday - and the bruise really hurts.

The weekend was full of packing and just existing.

Freek Out 4.0 starts this Friday.

I might not be able to move my big stuff until Thursday night. Man - we're going to be soooo tired after this weekend!!!

Note - Toronto drivers are getting worse and far more careless. It's quite scary to see the decline in driving abilities. And the accidents that are happening are far too preventable.

I think i'm done. I'm tired and heading out for the night. Have a good one.

Empty boxes are crying to be filled...

Don't be fooled

So - for the first long weekend (that I've ever made real notice of) - the gas prices DROPPED on the Friday and remained STEADY through the whole weekend - only to DROP again on Wednesday.

Gas was 95.2 all weekend long through the city of Toronto - with 94.9 popping up here and there from the smaller gas stations. And then it dropped even lower after remaining steady for four days through a long weekend.

What is in store for the drivers of North America? Should we be optimistic of realistic gas prices making a comeback? Or are they (the profit guzzling gas companies/and government) setting us up for something else?

Cause once more people move to hybrid vehicles - and ultimately use less gas - which in turn means less profit - what will happen to the once ever soaring gas prices to compensate for the drop in fuel dependancy?

And by the way - don't be fooled. 92.9 isn't cheap. But thanks to successful gas hikes - the gas companies have made us out to believe that we are getting a deal once the cost drops below a dollar/liter.

Mind games - it's all mind games.

So - i'm without internet at home while I await my mid-month move (yay). I'm also living in and out of boxes. Not my favorite state. But it will be really nice once I'm settled in at my new humble abode for the next 11months before New Zealand.

:)

So much to catch up on. I have post its with blurbs to inscribe on my blog one day.

Weddings, in promptu trips, picnics in the park, softball fridays, summer road trips, shopping for pots and dishes (sadly, i was excited about getting the new ones!!! the old ones were kaput!), etc.

Our creepy Transformers experience - classic horror movie moment.

BTW - I have been to four movies lately this summer in theatres - and they were all gold in their own respects. Knocked up - funny. Transformers - the most beautiful integration of CGI and film to date. Ratatouille - cute and typical Pixar. Bourne Ultimatum - great action.

Renters haven't been terrible either. The Station Agent. Invincible (i love football movies!!!).

Working long hours. Working hard. Looking forward to the hiatus at the end of the month (although, it hasn't been confirmed if post production gets one or not).

Just busy. Loving it. Can't believe the summer is almost over - and once the CNE pops up - i'll want to cry...cause that'll be the end.

To those who still follow this blog - I promise more pictures and posts once I'm settled in.
